Arbitrum Interactive Learning Platform Proposal

Abstract

This proposal, the final deliverable of the Arbitrum Onboarding 3-Month Pilot Program Fellowships, led by the core team of the Education & Content Creation group, outlines the creation of an Arbitrum Interactive Learning Platform. This platform aims to empower builders, delegates, and active DAO members within the Arbitrum ecosystem by serving as a central hub for learning about Arbitrum’s technology, governance, community initiatives, and opportunities through interactive modules, quests, and challenges. The platform will integrate with Farcaster and Ethereum Attestation Service (EAS) to foster community engagement and provide verifiable on-chain credentials for learning achievements.

The Arbitrum Interactive Learning Platform addresses the need for a comprehensive and engaging educational resource within the Arbitrum ecosystem. By integrating with social protocols like Farcaster, the platform gamifies the learning experience and fosters a vibrant community. As the ecosystem grows, it’s crucial to provide a structured and accessible way for users to not only learn but also actively participate and showcase their achievements, inspiring others to join the journey. The platform’s interactive approach, combined with the use of Farcaster and EAS, will enhance knowledge retention, facilitate community engagement, and provide tangible value to users through on-chain attestations, creating a dynamic and rewarding learning environment within the Arbitrum ecosystem.

Our team comprises members of the Arbitrum DAO Education & Content Creation Fellowship, bringing diverse expertise in research, community engagement, data analysis, and development. We have a proven track record of success with team members having won awards in hackathons such as Farhack 2024, Eth Cinco de Mayo 2024, and the Digital Vote Hackathon at the National Congress in México.

This is a detailed proposal. However, how is this different from Arbitrum Academy?

Thanks for this question, the more important difference with Arbitrum Academy is that the learning process is a passive learning, much of the content is plain text and some links that connects to another pages (really a few), this learning experience has an opportunity of enhancement by a new approach to it.

Our proposal is offering a much broader way to engage new people in all of what a DAO governance mean, texts are considered a complementary resource, to balance such content with video, quizzes and quests related to every content that the participant will be able to sort, this will make a gamified experience that not only will provide them with theorical knowlege about what a DAO is, but mostly how does Arbitrum DAO works and how they can contribute to it considering their skills and knowledge, which is also a valuable resource for the DAO to consider on new members and potencial contributors.

Also our proposal offers a platform integrated with social media channels such as Farcaster, will allow each participant to show their development and advance in their knowledge about the Arbitrum ecosystem, thus allowing them to not only retain knowledge but also facilitate their engagement with the community, in addition to giving them on-chain certifications. through EAS, creating a dynamic and recognition of their performance during the program.

Hi @0xnestor thanks for your work in posting the proposal and kudos to the Education & Content Fellowship participants for completing the pilot program.

I would like to see some concrete examples of the content that you propose to create. As well as justification around the need for that specific content. Perhaps this is something that you can workshop in the next phase of the Onboarding Program, with guidance from delegates and other stakeholders.
