GCP Council Re-Confirmation Vote for Tim Chang - Snapshot
GCP Council Re-Confirmation Vote for John Kennedy -Snapshot
I don’t feel informed enough about their work to vote, on their re-election and it seems very difficult to get that context so I am choosing to abstain, effectively delegating to the other delegates that are more closely observing.
I would have liked to see more progress in the GCP by now… but that’s a tangential story.
I am excited to see the DAO throw its weight around in Defi with the ARB-only strategies.
I wish it was clear how the ARB will be sold, at least values expressed clearly, but i trust tools like Aera will be used so that the ARB doesn’t impact the market in any dramatic way.
The candidates seem qualified, and well incentivized to do a great job.
Treasury management is important and this is a great first step forward.
[Non-consitutional] User Research: Why build on Arbitrum? - Snapshot
and
Designing and operating the reporting and information function - Snapshot
I think both of these proposals are good, but neither really wow me. I am still in a vote no unless the proposal solves a real need… both of these proposals could add some value, if they were widley used by the DAO… I don’t think they would be tho, I think the efforts would likely be under utilized.
Arbitrum D.A.O. Domain Allocator Offerings) Grant Program - Season 3 - Snapshot
VOTE: Renew with 5 domains
Questbook has been crushing it! The results from Seasons 1 and 2 speak for themselves. These grants enable small teams to build, grow, and contribute in ways that ripple across the ecosystem. This program has proven to be a fantastic entry point for builders in Arbitrum.
The ask here is reasonable, sounds like a lot, but when you break it down, $6.75M goes directly to grants across five domains, and the operational budget is lean and efficient, below 10%, which is pretty great and hard to do. Given the amount of impact we’ve seen already, this is an easy yes.
And adding a fifth domain is a no-brainer. Recruiting Orbit chains is a top priority for the DAO right now.
[NON-CONSTITUTIONAL] Arbitrum Onboarding V2: A Governance Bootcamp - Snapshot
It’s a thoughtful and well-structured proposal, and aligned with the goals of a thriving governance ecosystem. That said, I had to vote No on this proposal because the budget is too high for the expected outcomes. But I love the spirit of this proposal and I think running this as a Questbook grant would make more sense.
37.45% for Frisson (Comm Role)
49.94% for JuanRah + AlexLumley (Comm Role)
12.48% for ZER8 (Comm Role)
0.12% for Entropy Adv. + Tamara (Op Role)
I picked the three candidates I have seen do the best comms so far, all three have been doing this job already so they will fit into this role perfectly.
I gave a pity vote to Entropy, who was the only candidate running for ops… this allowed me to maximize my impact for the other 3 candidates.
33.33% for PYOR Research
33.33% for Llama Research & Castle Capital
33.33% for Messari
I think blockworks would of course do a great job in this role, but i decided to split my vote for these other also well qualified parties to bring a fresh perspective in and new blood into the fold.
PYOR Research: I don’t know them personally, but their proposal looks solid. With backing from Coinbase Ventures and a strong focus on ecosystem expansion, liquidity attraction, and DeFi growth, they look ready to dive in and deliver impactful results for the DAO.
Llama Research & Castle Capital: These guys are great. Their ability to dive deep into data analysis and governance makes them a key player. I also really like their focus on exploring retroactive funding models, ideas like that help push innovation in the ecosystem.
Messari: Messari is a team I’d like to see more involved in the DAO. Their focus on transparency, governance frameworks, and ecosystem analytics is spot on, and I think they’ll add a lot of value to ArbitrumDAO with their tools, expertise and community approach.
68% for DeFiSafety
16% for Nethermind
12% for Vending Machine
4% for TAU Labs
DeFiSafety is an easy yes for me. Their deep dive into risk management, with years of experience & over 600 reports (40 on Arbitrum!), shows a commitment to transparency that we really need in this space. Their methodical, no-nonsense approach makes them a good candidate for strengthening the DAO’s security and upholding trust within the community. They are perfect for this role
For Nethermind, Vending Machine & TAU Labs, I’m confident they can all add value and based on the value they suggested I added some voted for them as well.
I’m abstaining from this vote because we only have two candidates, and the proposed budgets are pretty steep. If I had to pick, I’d lean towards OpenZeppelin—they’re more affordable and have a solid track record with Arbitrum. But honestly, I’d love to see more competition to ensure we’re getting competitive offers
I voted FOR this proposal, In general, I love all the statements, broad enough to be relevant to all but still applicable. I love that we have a clear framework for aligning the DAO’s mission, vision, and purpose. The SOS process is a cool experiment, I hope many will engage, it might need a marketing effort to be successful.
In general, these event sponsorship decisions IMO should be done by a group that is comparing the various opportunities against each other and against their budget constraints.
I would propose this request to the foundation.
OpCo – A DAO-adjacent Entity for Strategy Execution - Snapshot
I was traveling and visiting family during the vote and was not able to give it the attention it deserved, so I abstained.
In general I am a bit hesitant to support such a huge and vague proposal.
