Hello Arbitrum delegates and stakeholders,
This is the August 2025 OpCo monthly update. I’m posting on behalf of the OpCo Oversight and Transparency Committee (OAT), of which I am an elected member along with Patrick McCorry, A.J. Warner, Pedro Breuer, and Gavin Wang. Please feel free to reply with questions and comments.
We hosted the monthly DAO call on Friday, August 15th at 1:30pm UTC. You can find the recording here.
Since the July Update, we’ve been focused on hiring OpCo/OAT personnel, operationalizing the OpCo, and working in the DAO.
Hiring OpCo Personnel
- We are actively interviewing multiple promising candidates for the “Chief Chaos Coordinator” (Head of OpCo Foundation) role.
- Ramping up OpCo operational capacity is our top priority. Consequently, we have begun recruiting for two additional roles: Operations Lead and Growth Lead. These are important leadership roles within the OpCo that will report directly to the Head of OpCo Foundation. If we find the right person for either role, we plan to move forward with an offer immediately.
Operationalizing the OpCo
- We continued weekly meetings for OAT members with strong attendance.
- We published the OpCo Bylaws.
Working in the DAO
- In Entropy’s TMC proposal, the OAT “approves or denies allocation recommendations from [Entropy]”. We are actively working in this capacity. We have reviewed and approved Entropy’s first proposal.
- In Entropy’s proposal to Work Exclusively with the Arbitrum DAO, OpCo serves as Entropy’s counterparty. In addition, 10M ARB are set aside for the OAT to negotiate directly with Entropy Advisors on establishing short, medium, and long-term incentive mechanisms. We are actively working to put together incentive mechanisms for Entropy.
