Hello Arbitrum delegates and stakeholders,
This is the July 2025 OpCo monthly update. I’m posting on behalf of the OpCo Oversight and Transparency Committee (OAT), of which I am an elected member along with Patrick McCorry, A.J. Warner, Pedro Breuer, and Gavin Wang. Please feel free to reply with questions and comments.
We hosted the monthly DAO call on Friday, July 18th at 2:00pm UTC. You can find the recording here.
Since the June Update, we’ve been focused on hiring OpCo/OAT personnel, operationalizing the OpCo, and working in the DAO.
Hiring OpCo Personnel
- We are actively interviewing multiple promising candidates for the “Chief Chaos Coordinator” (Head of OpCo Foundation) role.
- We have interviewed candidates who are strong fits for OpCo, but in different roles than “Chief Chaos Coordinator”. If there is a particularly exceptional candidate who fits this criteria, we may make an offer to join OpCo in advance of filling the “Chief Chaos Coordinator” role.
Operationalizing the OpCo
- We continued a weekly meeting for OAT members with strong attendance.
- We are finalizing the OpCo Bylaws and will share them shortly.
Working in the DAO
- In Entropy’s TMC proposal, the OAT “approves or denies allocation recommendations from [Entropy]”. We have begun working in this capacity.
- In Entropy’s proposal to Work Exclusively with the Arbitrum DAO year 2 and 3, OpCo will serve as Entropy’s counterparty. In addition, 10M ARB will be set aside for the OAT to negotiate directly with Entropy Advisors on establishing short, medium, and long-term incentive mechanisms.
