OpCo September 2025 Update

Hello Arbitrum delegates and stakeholders,

This is the September 2025 OpCo monthly update. I’m posting on behalf of the OpCo Oversight and Transparency Committee (OAT), of which I am an elected member along with Patrick McCorry, A.J. Warner, Pedro Breuer, and Gavin Wang. Please feel free to reply with questions and comments.

Since the August update, we’ve been focused on hiring OpCo personnel, operationalizing the OpCo, and working in the DAO.

Hiring OpCo Personnel

  • We’re thrilled to announce that we hired Tamara Benetti as Head of Operations! Tamara joined OpCo full-time on Monday, September 15th and is ramping up quickly. Some of her initial priorities include:
    • Setting up internal operations e.g., registering domain, setting up tools (Gsuite, Slack, Notion), hiring accounting service provider, defining policies etc.
    • Scheduling up meetings with delegates and AAEs with a focus on learning
    • Holding the first DAO <> OpCo staff session with more updates and Q&A (regular OpCo office hours to be held bi-weekly afterwards)
  • With Tamara on board, we are now primarily focused on hiring a “Chief Chaos Coordinator” (Head of OpCo Foundation). We are actively interviewing multiple promising candidates for this role. We will continue to opportunistically interview for other roles, including Head of Growth.

Operationalizing the OpCo

  • We continued weekly meetings for OAT members with strong attendance.

Working in the DAO

  • In Entropy’s TMC proposal, the OAT “approves or denies allocation recommendations from [Entropy]”. We are actively working in this capacity.
  • In Entropy’s proposal to Work Exclusively with the Arbitrum DAO, OpCo serves as Entropy’s counterparty. In addition, 10M ARB are set aside for the OAT to negotiate directly with Entropy Advisors on establishing short, medium, and long-term incentive mechanisms. We are actively working to finalize incentive mechanisms for Entropy.
