Summary:
ETH Jaguar was the first Ethereum hackathon held in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, powered by Arbitrum and organized by Ethereum TGU. The event gathered 47 participants who submitted and deployed 12 functional projects on Arbitrum, following a month-long lead-up of bootcamps, online talks, and university collaborations. The event successfully introduced dozens of developers to smart contracts, Solidity, and Arbitrum L2 development.

Impact of the Grant:
The funding allowed us to:

  • Cover operational and technical logistics for a 3-day in-person hackathon

  • Produce onboarding and educational resources for Arbitrum

  • Offer direct financial support to developers via prizes and participation rewards

  • Enable the top team to attend Devconnect Argentina (flights + tickets)

  • Launch ongoing incubation and mentorship with local universities and developer clubs

5. Future Plans & Continued Ecosystem Alignment

6. Additional Remarks

ETH Jaguar showed that the Ethereum and Arbitrum ecosystem can grow beyond major hubs into places like Honduras. This grant enabled dozens of first-time builders to ship working projects on-chain, launch developer careers, and grow new communities from the ground up.
