In our selection process, we have prioritized the following criteria:
Technical expertise: At SEEDGov, we exclusively consider candidates with a strong technical background, placing particular emphasis on those with verifiable experience in blockchain security. It’s important to remember that the Council is responsible for securing millions of dollars on-chain, a responsibility that cannot be taken lightly.
Alignment with Arbitrum: We also assess the degree of alignment candidates have with the Arbitrum ecosystem. We generally favor individuals or organizations that are already contributing value or providing services to the Arbitrum community.
Geographic diversity: The selected candidates represent various continents, which not only strengthens the Council’s security but also ensures coverage across different time zones, allowing signatories to be available at any time of the day.
Looking ahead, we encourage candidates to provide more detailed information for easier verification, including links to their GitHub profiles, examples of previous work, and direct contributions to Arbitrum.
As my VP is not that big, I chose only one Nominee: Emiliano. His expertize is well known across the industry, and IMO, he is a fit candidate for the council.
During the nominee selection phase, I allocated my votes across three candidates. I focused my votes on candidates with strong technical proficiency and prior history of contribution to Arbitrum.
Dennison Bertram - Strong experience with solidity and past history of contribution to Arbitrum as CEO of Tally
gzeon - High-level understanding of smart contract security issues and extremely strong contribution to Arbitrum as a member of the Offhchain Labs engineering team.
WakeUp Labs - Strong overall technical capability and past contribution to Arbitrum as a developer of the escape hatch mechanism.

For this reason, i decided in this round to just push for Dedaub.
Not only they are an audit firm but, more than others, thanks to the ADPC program, are more entrenched in the arbitrum ecosystem. I think we should double down on people and entities committed in our blue chain, and I think that their experience plus their tailored role in here will be helpful in the security council.
