I don’t see a good reason to remove ‘Abstain’ votes from quorum. The sole purpose is to count participation without forcing a stance, as many in the thread have pointed out. Abstaining is like delegating to your peers and I think it is better to keep it as part of quorum. Quorum should reflect engagement. The current design is such that if you don’t want your vote to count towards quorum, you vote against, if you want it to vote towards quorum but don’t want to support directly, you vote abstai…

I 100% disagree! This was learned very clearly in the Early days of Aragon. Weird dynamics happen if Against counts towards quorum. If a voter want to vote against, that voter doesn’t want to support the proposal in passing in anyway. So if a vote against adds to quorum, then voting against CAN support the proposal in passing in that way so it breeds weird strategic voting behavior if a voter is voting against the proposal! I appreciate this initiative to improve UX for USDS, however, I believe that decisions around the bridge should come from Offchain Labs, and I would rather them even propose the change. OCL is best positioned to evaluate if this causes any weird edge cases to the bridge and would ask that future initiatives get their tacit approval, before wasting your time and the community’s time with these minor, yet critical technical changes. If OCL supports it we all will.

What I was saying is the OCL should be leading or at the very least, quickly supporting proposal’s like this,so you both could save some time and simplify this process. That being said it’s a no brainer, I’m voting for this proposal, if the OCL supports it so do I.

MY RANK CHOICE VOTING [image] I’m supporting “Deploy Both Strategies” as my top choice. These allocations look like a good idea considering how much ARB we have, and the volatility of the market. Props to the TCM for getting this work done. We’re talking about a very small percentage of our total treasury - 2.5% - this is a conservative risk to try to get a considerable yield. The teams chosen are AWESOME and have proven they know what they’re doing.

I’m voting against this proposal. As I said for the Snapshot I would love to see this submitted through questbook,OpCo or some other program, a DAO vote is just overkill for this sort of thing. I also think in general we would be better served by one person, maybe @RikaGoldberg, taking on a part time role to just help the delegates when they need it on demand… a bootcamp might be overkill.

Voting YES. Letting 7,500 ETH sit idle is a waste—putting it to work in Lido and Aave makes sense. These are battle-tested protocols with solid yields, and while I’d love to see more Arbitrum-native projects in the mix, Fluid and Camelot are good enough for experimenting, and we can push for other protocols in future rounds. No need to stall progress for politics when we can simply add more along the way. More ETH will come.

I’m voting AGAINST this proposal. I acknowledge the importance of user acquisition and appreciate @Kamilgorski initiative to address this need. However, this type of funding should go through a proper grant program, and not waste the DAO’s time. What we need is an competitive process where multiple teams can apply and the best bid wins. Let’s build mechanisms that get us the best offers rather than approving individual requests directly thru the DAO.
